Rocking O Ranch is permitted as a gamebird hunting reserve and are not bound by traditional season openings or closings. Bobwhite quail availability begins in July and ends in March.
Hunting Package Logistics (Single Night)
The hunter will arrive by 12 pm. Between 12-4pm, the hunter can get settled in his/her room, meet the quail shoot facilitators, and relax at the lodge if desired.
The afternoon hunting time will vary based on the time of the season and typically lasts 2-3 hours depending on group size. After the afternoon/evening shoot, hunters can go back to their private rooms to freshen up, or head over to The Lodge for drinks/cocktails while dinner is prepared.
The morning hunt will begin at 9 am after breakfast and conclude before noon.
Our facilitators will provide transportation to and from the quail hunting area, provide a safety briefing, retrieve all shot quail, and dress/clean/vacuum seal them for transport home in a Quail Covey Run softpack cooler.
Bobwhite Quail Shoot VIP Package: $850
$850 flat rate: this includes accommodations for one night, 3 meals, use of the lodge, regular & adult beverages, full use of the shooting range, a practice round including 15 skeet, 2 quail hunt outings, 30 live flight-conditioned bobwhite quail and the facilitator fee.
Extra quail can be added to the shoot for $8.00/quail. This addition to the package will need to be arranged when the shoot is booked.
If you feel that your facilitators did an exceptional job, Rocking O Ranch encourages you to tip accordingly. Typically, tip rates average at 20% of the hunt's total price. Tips go directly to the facilitator and are not appropriated in any way towards Rocking O Ranch.

Live quail shoots are different than a traditional quail hunt. Quail shoots place the hunter inside a 2-acre area (native landscape) where the quail are hidden and released via remote. Each hunter is guaranteed the opportunity to shoot at 15 quail per hunt! This is the ultimate when it comes to competitive fun and excitement! The VIP package includes two separate shoots (evening and morning).
Groups of 4 or more are eligible for a 10% discount!
