Rocking O Ranch is permitted as a gamebird hunting reserve and are not bound by traditional season openings or closings. Bobwhite quail availability begins in July and ends in March.
Hunting Package Logistics (Single Night)
Bobwhite quail shoots as an add-on will be scheduled sometime between your morning and afternoon whitetail or exotic hunt. The actual quail shoot time will vary based on the season and typically lasts 2-3 hours depending on group size.
Our facilitators will provide transportation to and from the quail hunting area, provide a safety briefing, retrieve all shot quail, and dress/clean/vacuum seal them for transport home in a Quail Covey Run softpack cooler.
Bobwhite Quail Shoot Add-On: $450
$450: this includes a practice round including 15 skeet, 1 quail shoot, 15 live flight-conditioned bobwhite quail and the facilitator fee.
Extra quail can be added to the shoot for $8.00/quail. This addition to the package will need to be arranged when the shoot is booked.
If you feel that your facilitators did an exceptional job, Rocking O Ranch encourages you to tip accordingly. Typically, tip rates average at 20% of the hunt's total price. Tips go directly to the facilitator and are not appropriated in any way towards Rocking O Ranch.

In partnership with Quail Covey Run, Rocking O is now proud to offer Bobwhite Quail shoots on site at the ranch as an add-on option to existing whitetail or exotic hunting packages.
Live quail shoots are different than a traditional quail hunt. Quail shoots place the hunter inside a 2-acre area (native landscape) where the quail are hidden and released via remote. Each hunter is guaranteed the opportunity to shoot at 15 quail per hunt!
Groups of 4 or more are eligible for a 10% discount.
